Ohio licensing requirements Bill # 223

Governor Bob Taft gave his stamp of approval on House bill #223. This bill concerns licensing requirements for food
and beverage. More specifically Section 3717.42A section (2) states that: A private home operated as a Bed & Break
fast that prepares and offers food_ to guests, if the home is owner-occupied, the number of available guest bedrooms
does not exceed six, breakfast is the only meal offered, and the number of guests served does not exceed sixteen, is not
considered a food service operation and therefore is not required to carry a food and beverage license. Governor Taft
signed the bill on August 4,1999
